Christian Education
Include Sunday School and adult Christian education.

Child and Youth Sunday School-Fall,Winter & Spring

Our Sunday School is built around the Godly Play curricula, with classes for preschool through 6th grade. Middle school and high school students are invited to help with Sunday School or attend church with their families. Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m.  and the children join the rest of the congregation partway through our regular 10:00 service.

Adult Education-Fall, winter & Spring

Adult Education meets at 9:00 AM on Sundays, and addresses a wide variety of topics. It is focused on spiritual growth in a small group setting. Childcare can be arranged on an as-needed basis during Adult Education.

Nursery

Nursery is available from 9:30- 11 a.m.  in St. James Hall for infants and toddlers.

Bible Study

Study and discussion of books of the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, and other books on occasion. We currently we have a Thursday morning group that meets from 10:15 to 11:30 AM in the Cambridge Court Cabana behind the church.

Education for Ministry (EFM)

EFM is a program of theological education offered through the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. EFM educates lay people in the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy and theology. EFM meets Monday evenings, September through May. There is a tuition fee associated with this course. Contact Carol van der Veen or the church office.

Inquirers' Class

The Inquirer's class is an orientation to the Episcopal Church and the Church of the Resurrection. It is normally aimed at newcomers, but is open to anyone. This class introduces what Episcopalians believe, the Book of Common Prayer, and history of the church (both national and local). Offered occasionally.

Confirmation Class

The Confirmation class is for those who wish to review their faith and prepare to reconfirm their Christian commitment through the sacrament of Confirmation. This class is aimed at youth who have grown up in the church, or adults who have been part of the church for a while and wish to reconfirm their commitment. Offered on an "as needed" basis.

Elizabeth Pace Smith Memorial Library

Our library has a wide variety of books and audio-visual materials available for checkout. The library is located downstairs in St. James Hall.
