Need occasional childcare for your preschooler? Want your children to learn the stories of the Judeo/Christian heritage in an open - minded way that encourages them to ‘wonder’ rather than tells them what to believe? THIS IS FOR YOU!

Our Mission

To reach out to the needs of our community with a quality drop-in childcare program for preschoolers that also teaches children the stories and language of the Judeo-Christian faith.

What you need to know

AGES: 2½-6

Enrollment is limited to 15 children per class day.

DATES: Tues 11:30 am–3 PM

We will follow the Bellevue Elementary School District calendar for 2008/2009 ending June 14 (1 week before school ends). If they are closed on a particular Tues, we will be closed. If they are open, we are open. 

COST

• $6/hour or $17 for the entire 3½ hours.
• For 2 siblings: $6/hour/child or $29 for both for the entire session.
• For 3 siblings: $5/hour/child or $35 total for the entire session.

Payment is by cash or check and must be made at the drop-off or pick-up time. YOUR FIRST SESSION IS FREE!

Ask about our Co-Op option if finances are an issue for you.

One or two adults will be with your children at all times.

SIGN-UP

Sign-ups can be done in person, via e-mail, or phone. ‘In person’ is the best way to sign up because you can see immediately which dates have openings. Phone at the Church is 425-746-0322. It is answered Mon–Thurs from 10 to 3.

If you sign up for a particular date and need to cancel, please call or e-mail as soon as you know. You can always literally ‘drop in’ on a Tues/Thurs afternoon when we are open, but there is no guarantee that a spot is available unless you sign up ahead of time.

SCHEDULE    

11:45–12:30

Drop-off and sign in just inside the main doors of the Church. Bring lunch if desired. If not, please make sure your child has had lunch before he/she comes. There will be a table for eating and a play area with varied activities.

12:30–2:15 PM

Activities in the downtairs preschool room in St. James. This includes our ‘feast time’ where the children have a snack. Activities include: Music, Stories, Art Projects and Activity time

2:15–3:00 PM

Outside time, weather permitting; or free play/resting in the preschool classroom in the basement of St. James.

3:00 PM

Pick up in the downstairs preschool room.

SCHOLARSHIPS

If you need childcare in order to find a job or deal with a family emergency and you cannot afford it, please talk with Kathy Horne. We are committed to reaching out to our community and hope to have 1 spot open for scholarship each day as needed.
